Statement
My thesis film "Director's Cut" follows roommates Gus and Jamie, who after taping over their third roommates' favorite VHS tape, attempt to recreate the film themselves. My inspiration comes from nostalgia and cartoons from my childhood. I feel like this film is for people transitioning into adulthood but but still feel like a kid and feel unequipped for the responsibilities of adulting. The humor and characters are very inspired by comedies that revolve around older teens and young adults trying to fix their mistakes and the relatability of of not quite having it all together.
