Market Like a MICAN: Branding 101
In this workshop, attendees learned the difference between branding and marketing, methods of promoting your organization and its products and/or services, and how to position your organization to be noticed. Check out the recorded workshop below:
Presenter: Sabrina Dépestre is the Director of Brand Marketing for MICA’s Office of Open Studies. She is responsible for creating & executing brand and marketing strategies within the academic unit, which serves over 1,000 individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and skillsets to pursue education in art and design. She also serves as an advisory board member and mentor for several local non-profits and impact-driven organizations, which include Bridges Baltimore, Innovation Works, and the She Builds Initiative. A graduate of Florida International University, Sabrina resides in Baltimore, Maryland.
Market Like a MICAN: Social Media Marketing
This workshop covered the basics of creating a marketing strategy that best fits the needs of your business, including social media, email marketing, and user experience methodologies. Erin covered each platform individually to discuss what works, what doesn’t work, and how to create messages that fit the audiences that use them. Check out the workshop below:
Presenter: Erin Baynham is the Director of User Experience and Engagement at MICA. Prior to that, she served as the social media manager for National Geographic Wild and Johns Hopkins University School of Education. She’s a wife and mother of three and an avid home cook and Orioles fan!
