Statement
On Chuseok (2022) which is Korean Thanksgiving, I went to an island called Jeju Island to take pictures. Driving around, I got into an accident with a bus, so I had to be hospitalized for a month. Lying in the hospital stuck with shoulder, rib and pelvic fractures was not easy. However, I adjusted to hospital life earlier than I expected. So I started documenting my hospital life using my only movable left arm. As I recorded it with pictures, I was able to find unexpected joy and small happiness rather than sadness and negative thoughts about hospital life caused by accident, making me feel grateful. Finally, I recovered quickly with the bright energy from the nursing of my mom, who devoted herself to taking care of me, and the beautiful scenery surrounding the hospital. These aspects are what I want to show through this project.
