MICA Fulbright 2024-2025 Timeline

It is recommended that enrolled students and alumni applying through MICA begin their application research for the 2024/25 Fulbright grant cycle during the Spring of 2024.

2024/25 Fulbright U.S. Student Program Grant Cycle

* Currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate MICA students MUST apply through MICA

* Remote Alumni may apply through MICA

* Please Note:  MICA deadlines supersede National Fulbright deadlines.  The Office of International Education will provide applicants with the following services to help ensure they produce a high-quality application prior to the national deadline:

  • Draft revisions throughout the month of July - see 2023-2024 Timeline
  • Faculty interviews in September to provide support and feedback on grant proposals

 

Timeline

Due Sunday, July 7, 2024:

Solid drafts of Proposal (2 pages) and Personal Statement (1 page) .

Due Monday, July 22, 2024:

Second draft due - Revised Proposal and Personal Statement.

Throughout July & August continue to revise Proposal and Personal Statement.

Due Friday, August 23, 2024:

Applications due for all students/alumni applying through MICA.

Submit Written Application online, including three Letters of Recommendation, Foreign Language Evaluations, Letter(s) of Affiliation, and Transcripts.

September 6 - 20, 2024: 
Application reviews with MICA committee.
Each candidate submitting an application through MICA will have an interview with 1 or 2 MICA faculty members to review the merits of the application and suggest any changes. Following the interview, the candidate will make any requested changes and resubmit the application through the Fulbright on or before the national deadline - Tuesday, October 8, 2024, 5:00 PM [EST.].
 

Due Tuesday, October 8, 2024, 5:00 PM [EST.]:

National Application Deadline.
All final and complete allocations must be submitted through the Fulbright portal by 5:00 PM [EST.] -  there are no exceptions.  This is the National Fulbright Committee official deadline and neither the student nor the Office of International Education can negotiate a late submission.
