Check your local board of elections for requirements to become a certified volunteer to help others with voter registration.

Black Girls Vote is an organization designed to represent the concerns and interests of Black women. They are invested in ensuring that Black women are empowered to advance education, economic development, quality health care, and improve outcomes. Black Girls Vote in based in Baltimore.

As coronavirus continues to impact Americans across the country, we are also seeing a staggering decrease in poll workers — which could mean closed polling places and long delays for elections in 2020. In Maryland:
- Challengers and Watchers - These authorized individuals can be in early voting vote centers and polling places and observe activities.
- Election Judges - Without them, there would be no elections! Election judges are the individuals who check in voters, provide instructions and answer questions, and generally monitor the activities in the polling place.
- Voter Registration - Do you want to help register people to vote? Voter registration distributors are trained to assist people with registering to vote and delivering completed applications to a county board of elections.
