Statement
Throughout my work at MICA, I have thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with the possibilities for crossover between illustration and graphic design. Specifically, I have enjoyed the idea of illustrations used as design elements for various products, media, etc. I have implemented these concepts into both of my thesis projects, creating both a fictional band and a fictional brewery to create and design imagery for. Creating these elements, on top of experimenting with text, logos, and other graphic design ideas has allowed me to explore the overlapping of the two fields and learn how they are applied.
