Statement

“What is home?” Is a question I’ve found myself revisiting throughout my life. What constitutes an environment that I can be in and feel truly at home? My work focuses on moments that reflect elements of what I personally identify as home. I investigate these moments through decay, growth, ritual, and culture. I practice this through the manipulation of materiality within elements such as fiber, metal, and various natural materials to create a new physical purpose and content than originally. I don't idolize my collected elements, but more so thank them for the comfort and stability they have brought me.
