Statement

Lena Lin is a Chinese-American illustrator, story artist, and surface designer from Alabama. She graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration and a Book Arts concentration.

Lena's passion lies in book illustration and the surface design field. She enjoys creating children's books, chapter book illustrations, book covers, editorials, etc. In addition, Lena has a love for creating playful, vibrant patterns and likes experimenting with color. She works mainly in traditional mediums - specifically gouache, watercolors, and color pencils. She also dabbles in digital illustrations and sometimes, she even mixes the two!
