Statement

In her immersive and interactive installation, Meng Ren used animation, coding, multiple projections, and physical reflection to create a meditative environment to represent her inner world. As a Chinese, Ren has a belief in Chinese traditional philosophies, especially Taoism, which asks her to come very naturally. Each word is changing based on a historical background in her work is on behalf of a special meaning for Ren which leads her behaviors and thoughts to a moral level. By the combination of disciplinary media, Ren creates a word’s world to invite people to slow down their pace, stay and rethink their life.
