Statement

My biography begins in the relationship of my body to the world around it, yet the space between the two is a margin that may only be experienced and not described. The history, movements, and tracings of my body are unquantifiable, yet particular. Negotiating both public and private space, my work explores presence through absence, underscoring nuanced articulations of my body in relation to motion, space, light, weight and volume. Through an interdisciplinary practice that includes video, sculpture, photography and drawing, I hint at the unpredictable drama of daily life, including not just what is seen, but what is left to be imagined.
