Hillary Browning Essreg

Hillary is a design strategist with an experience that spans the full spectrum of the User Experience field.

She received her MS degree in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Michigan iSchool and her MS degree in Engineering from the University of Colorado, serving as a National Science Foundation STEM Education Fellow in the Integrated Teaching and Learning Lab.

She has been a freelance design consultant for the last five years, with clients that include startups, corporations, design agencies, academic institutions, and government. Prior to that, Hillary worked both in-house and in digital agency contexts as a UX professional supporting organizations such as National Geographic, Dell, Marriott, Boeing, the National Institutes of Health, Conservation International, The Pew Charitable Trusts, and Kao brands (Jergens, Curel, John Frieda).

Hillary believes in the power of Design Thinking to solve complex problems in innovative ways. She is also passionate about facilitating collaborative environments that value inclusion and kindness.
