Sharon Butler

Sharon Butler, a 2013 Baltimore transplant, relocated from Naperville, IL with her husband Calvin and their two children (Blake & Raini). Sharon has a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics from Fisk University. She was a licensed realtor in Illinois for approximately 14 years although her primary occupation has been a stay at home mom. After years in her primary occupation, Sharon has often wondered when she will receive her chauffeur license, cleaning and sanitation degree, counseling license, and chef certification. With a huge passion for mentoring youth, especially girls, out of college Sharon worked as a field executive for the largest Girl Scout council in the United States. She became troop leader to 23 phenomenal girls when her daughter became a Girl Scout. Her love for theatre resulted in Sharon serving on the Goodman Theatre Women's Board.

Since relocating to Baltimore, Sharon has helped with the American Heart Association Heart Ball, co-chaired the BSO, serves on the James Madison Council for the Library of Congress, and Baltimore Design School board.  Co-chairing the BDS fundraiser brunch for 2 years has been her project of love.

The success of this event allows kids to participate in several field trips and activities they would not otherwise be afforded. Sharon is very supportive of the community and looks forward to watching Baltimore soar.
