Peer Career Advisors (PCA's) are undergraduate and graduate students who provide pivotal services for the Joseph Meyerhoff Center for Career Development.

Peer Career Advisors (PCA's) are undergraduate and graduate students who provide pivotal services for the Joseph Meyerhoff Center for Career Development.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Represent the Career Development Office as a Student Ambassador
- Engage students and provide 1 on 1 career counseling sessions
- Plan programs, workshops and presentations
- Assist with major events (e.g. Internship + Career Fair, Design & Media Reviews & Fine Art Reviews)
- Create career resources
- Create outreach campaigns to assigned case loads
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a currently enrolled MICA undergraduate/graduate student at time of employment
- Must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship experience
Compensation
- 4-6 hours per week
- $13.50 per hour
Conditions of Employment
- Mandatory 2-day training in late August and Student Leader Training
- Student employees may work no more than 20 hours per week across all on-campus positions.
- PCA's hold their position for one academic year and sometimes continue into multiple years. This is discussed and decided mutually during an end of year review.
