Grad Show 2022 Student Information

MICA GRAD SHOW 2022 will virtually showcase the culminating work of more than 130 MFA and MA graduate students from the College's internationally renowned programs. Select dates/times for invitation-only exhibition openings and events - and how to request tickets - will be communicated to Class of 2022 students directly through micamail this Spring and Summer.

Students in MICA’s MFA in Curatorial Practice program complete curatorial projects and collaborate with artists, organizations, and venues. Each student works in a variety of contexts and formats while forging partnerships across audiences and communities. MICA’s Office of Strategic Communications and Graduate Studies are eager to promote and celebrate all the incredible MFA and MA work to come this Spring and Summer. Since 2010, the banner head MICA GRAD SHOW has showcased the culminating work of our MFA and MA graduate students from the College's internationally renowned programs. Our dynamic and customizable platform will again promote and archive 2022 student work.

Graduate Studies and Strategic Communications will be launching a significant media presence for MGS 22 including features in Art in Education and regional advertising. Help us spread the word on social media using the e-postcards on your artist and MFA / MA program social media channels. The Office of Graduate Studies is pleased to partner with faculty and students to create a 2022 GRAD SHOW catalog featuring 2-3 images / text from the AY21 MFAST cohort and AY22 MFA and MA students. Student participation is optional but highly encouraged. One complimentary copy will be distributed to each graduating student during Commencement weekend with the option to purchase additional copies on demand.

Instructions for students:

(note: students will provide one folder each to program directors who will upload all folders)

• One folder per student, must be named like so—Firstname_Lastname

• Up to 5 images total (no more than 5, please) of graduate thesis work

• at least 3600px or 12 inches on the longest side

• at 300dpi (note: any images below 300 dpi will not be used)

• Word document w/ the below info (use provided template)

-Full, preferred name


-Hometown (City, State, Country)

-Thesis title

-150-word description of thesis
