Doing an internship in a product design environment is one of the most rewarding experiences a student can have. Being able to apply what they have learned in the studio, in a professional environment is empowering. Being able to bring back new skills to the design studio environment the following semester impacts the student and their peers. It enriches the studio experience for everyone, and it starts to prepare the student for life after college. We encourage our students to do a variety of internship experiences, so they can get a taste of what is out there before they graduate. This gives them agency in designing their career in this growing and expanding field of design.
