Located at 100 Dolphin Street, near Mount Royal Station and the Mount Royal/MICA Light Rail Train Station.

The Dolphin Design Center is home to BFA programs in Architectural Design, Game Design, Interactive Arts, and Product Design as well as studio concentrations in Game Arts and Sound Art.

Built Specifically for Contemporary Designers

The Dolphin Design Center, MICA's newest academic facility, houses state-of-the-art fabrication labs, classrooms, and collaborative areas.
The 25,000 square-foot building was designed by the Baltimore-based architectural firm, GWWO, with the explicit intention of creating a space for designers for the 21st Century.
The Center provides the next generation of artists and designers with a dynamic facility that fosters creativity, collaboration and entrepreneurship.

Students in all programs housed in the Dolphin Design Center work in areas designed to foster collaboration.

Programs also give students access to the equipment they'll need to develop the professional and technical skills needed when they graduate.

With a traditional fabrication lab on the first floor and digital fabrication space on the fourth, the Dolphin Design Center supports the multidisciplinary ways in which creative makers now work.

"The Dolphin building has a woodshed downstairs on the first floor. It’s very extensive. It has bandsaws, table saws, C&C routers, a plastic crimper, a vacuum-forming tool, drill presses, all sorts of hand tools that you might need. That is very useful because when you’re completing assignments, you don’t have to run to all ends of the campus.
