Envision yourself standing still in a sea of people. Everyone is moving in different directions. What captures your attention? What makes you wander in your own self? Have you ever thought about what surrounds you?

YOUniverse (through the lens) is a group exhibition by student photographers from Lens on Life Project, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, supporting photography and computer literacy training for youth around the world. Through their unique perspective in places like Goma (DR Congo), Zaatari refugee camp, Cameroon, Iraq, and New York, these young photographers explore the diverse reality of human connection. By self-reflecting on family, love, and identity, YOUniverse opens a pathway to the boundless possibilities of connection–known and unknown. In a time where surface-level connection often defines us, YOUniverse allows time and space for viewers to reflect.

Please join us for an opening reception + gallery talk on Tuesday, October 10th 6-8PM. The gallery talk will begin at 6:30PM.

The exhibition is on view October 11 - November 5, 2023 in the Pinkard Gallery (Bunting Center, Floor 1).
