Fall hours will begin August 26th*
Appointments can be made on the medicat portal or students can drop-in (with possible wait time) if they wish during the summer.

Tuesday 10:30 am - 5:30 pm
• Drop-ins accepted 10:30 - 11:30 am & 2:30 - 3:30 pm
• Transcare with Lindsey MacNeil, NP: Only by appointment 5-7 pm  (not available every Tuesday in the fall)
 
Wednesday 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Thursday  8:30 am - 3:30 pm

IMPORTANT: If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, call first before coming into the office, so we can direct you with the next steps of action:

  • cough, sore throat, shortness of breath
  • loss of taste or smell
  • diarrhea, nausea, vomiting
  • fever or feeling feverish
  • body aches

If experiencing any of the above-mentioned symptoms, it is recommended to isolate  immediately and notify the MICA health center by calling 410-225-4118. 


Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement for Students in Fall 2023

For the safety and health of students and the broader MICA community, a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy is in effect for all MICA students for Fall 2023. 

The deadline to submit documentation is Saturday, July 15, 2023.

International students who cannot be vaccinated in their home country prior to the start of the semester can request a temporary exemption. Students may also request medical and religious exemptions.  The deadline to submit a medical or religious exception request for internal review is Saturday, July 1, 2023.

STI Testing (Sexually Transmitted Disease)

The MICA student Health Center provides comprehensive screening exams, testing and treatment for all MICA students. Our staff and medical providers are experts in college health and understand the importance of providing sensitive service to our students in a safe and confidential environment.

Visiting the Wellness Center

Cost of Visit

There is no charge for standard health visits for full-time enrolled students, which are covered by your student life fees; however, there are fees for lab work, immunizations, and procedures.

Referrals & Specialty Care

Clinicians will refer students to medical specialists and imaging centers whenever necessary. Referred specialists will be determined primarily by the student's insurance coverage.

Pharmacy

The majority of prescriptions given at the MICA student health center can be electronically sent to a local pharmacy at the request of the student. Chase Brexton has a pharmacy located within our Mt. Vernon Center (1111 North Charles Street), which is available to all MICA students.
