Statement
Initially from Nanjing, China, I love writing stories and creating characters. I like films, music, comics and fiction. My favorite authors include Lillian Li, Eilleen Chang, and Gu Long.
My thesis Little Wilderness: Let’s Take a Walk! takes the audience on an imaginative walking adventure where the main character: the kid and her mom accidentally discover the overlooked, mysterious, but amiable world in their neighborhood yard.
I want to express the nostalgia of my childhood living in the small neighborhood yard with my parents in Nanjing, China, the ancient capital of six Dynasties. Living in the small wilderness nurtured my imagination inspired me to think big across the universe of time and space, flying back and forth between ancient times and the future.
