Maureen Weiss

Maureen Weiss is a designer and educator originally from upstate New York.

Specializing in identity and branding systems for higher education and not-for-profit institutions for over twenty years, she has been recognized with numerous industry awards from CASE, UCDA and The Art Directors Club of Metropolitan Washington, and her work has appeared in HOW Magazine. She has partnered with a variety of businesses and associations throughout her career and currently designs for her own studio.

Weiss is a graduate of the communication design program at Syracuse University. She has taught in the publication design graduate program at the University of Baltimore and in the visual communication design program at Stevenson University. Maureen has been teaching at MICA since 2012 and was awarded the 2017 MICA Trustee Fellowship for Excellence in Teaching. While at MICA, she has collaborated with the MAT program on community-based work fostering the poetic voices of Baltimore city youth.
