In the event that a student’s academics are being negatively impacted by extenuating circumstances, to the extent passing a class is no longer a viable option, students can work with SOS to determine whether or not a Medical Withdrawal would be the appropriate course of action.

Supporting documentation or support from relevant campus partner (such as Title IX Coordinator, or Campus Safety) is required for a Medical Withdrawal. Students must also meet with SOS staff in order for a Medical Withdrawal to be processed.

It strongly recommended that students meet with their Financial Aid counselor to discuss the impact a Medical Withdrawal could have on their Financial Aid before they decide to move forward requesting a medical withdrawal from our office.
