Residence Life

Since the opening of MICA's first residential housing facility in 1993, the College has continuously focused on strengthening the student life experience.

Over the past twenty-five years, MICA has recognized the importance of a robust student life program that complements the rigor and intensity of the student academic experience. We have broadened our housing program to over 1,000 beds and now offer a holistic residential experience.

We look forward to seeing you during your next visit to campus.

***Update Regarding On-Campus Isolation***

Based on the email update from the Student Health team, MICA will no longer offer quarantine/isolation housing, effective immediately. MICA will follow recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance in regards to isolation for students.

  • Start a conversation now with your roommate(s) about how you will handle illnesses and the possible need to isolate. Students may isolate in their rooms if they choose to.
  • You and your roommate(s) should discuss if you would like to remain in your room(s) together if one or all of you are sick.
  • Students who feel sick, test positive for COVID or prefer to avoid illness are encouraged to return home, if they are able to.
  • Students should have a plan if they test positive or come into close contact with others who are sick during the school year. MICA will no longer provide isolation or quarantine housing for COVID-19.
  • Students will be expected to secure meals on their own. For those in isolation who need to secure food or items, please wear a face covering when leaving your room and choose to-go options for meals during the isolation period
