MICA's M.F.A. in Illustration Practice program is led by founding director Whitney Sherman and includes Sherman and Mai ly Degnan as full-time studio faculty members. Kerry Roeder, full-time faculty in Art History, Theory & Criticism teaches the required Critical Seminar 1 & 2 academic courses for the program, and various part-time faculty teach the rotating ILP studio elective course offered each semester.

Mai Ly Degnan

Mai Ly Degnan is an award winning illustrator who enjoys creating humorous illustrations with tedious line work, pattern making, and bright colors. Her work has been recognized by The Society of Illustrators of New York and Los Angeles, American Illustration, and 3x3. Some of Mai Ly's favorite things include greeting cards, pattern making, and pugs. She holds an MFA in Illustration Practice from MICA.
