The core concept for this project is development & promotion of using data analysis in making decisions in apparel product development/fashion design for the retail industry. Through exploratory data analysis, the project aims demonstrate simplifying the decision-making process in fashion design, without sacrificing the creative perspective of the fashion trained professional. In this example, transaction-based data and online search term data is used to develop a “for her” new year’s gift guide for the Southern regions of India for Myntra, one of the largest ecommerce retailers in India.
