Statement
Lauren Young graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art in May 2020 with a BFA in Illustration. She currently resides in hometown, Ellicott City, MD. She primarily works digitally with the Adobe Creative Suite, but also works traditionally with pencil, pen, and ink. Her favorite things to draw are birds, cats, plants, and woodland animals. Lauren enjoys surface design and runs her own small business on Etsy, where she sells products (such as prints, stickers, pins, and more) of her designs. Her thesis focuses on cute, family-friendly patterns that can be applied to a wide range of home goods and products.
